Bulgaria to Have an Exhibition and Commercial Centre in Milan

On April 1, 2004, the Vice Premier and Minister of Economy Lydia Shouleva and the mayor of the Italian “economic capital” Gabriele Albertini discussed the possibility of opening a Bulgarian exhibition and commercial centre in Milan. The Bulgarian Vice Premier was on a visit to Italy to take part in the bilateral forum Bulgaria – Investment and Cooperation Possibilities.

Bavarian State Minister Certain of Bulgarian EU Membership in 2007

On April 13–15, 2004, Mr. Eberhard Sinner, State Minister for European Affairs and Regional Relations of the Free State of Bavaria paid an official visit to Bulgaria. Bavaria is the largest in territory and the second largest in population and economic potential among the German federal provinces.

Deputy Prime Minister Lydia Shouleva Pays a Two-day Official Visit to Austria

On April 13, 2004, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Lydia Shouleva left on a two-day official visit to Austria at the invitation of the Austrian Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Labour Dr. Martin Bartenstein. The Bulgarian delegation included the Deputy Minister of Energy and Energy Resources Angel Minev, BAES Executive Director Docho Karadochev and representatives of Bulgarian companies.

Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Visits Bulgaria

On April 14–15, 2004, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Kostyantyn Gryshchenko visited Bulgaria at the invitation of the Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Solomon Passy.

Bulgaria and the Palestinian National Authority Sign an Agreement for Cooperation in the Sphere of Culture, Science and Education

On April 15, 2004, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Palestinian National Authority Mr. Nabeel Shaath arrived on a two-day official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart Solomon Passy.

After a meeting behind closed doors and plenary talks, the two ministers signed an Agreement for Cooperation between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Palestinian National Authority in the Sphere of Culture, Science and Education.Minister Nabeel Shaath congratulated Bulgaria on its recent accession to NATO as a full member.
