She is one of those designers who stand out right off for their original style. This has been a feature of hers ever since 1989 when she started her career in fashion. Since then she has won not only a multitude of admirers, but also two “Golden Needle” awards from the Fashion Academy for best designer of the year in 1998 and 2003.

Her clothes can be distinguished from all others as they bear the artist’s unmatched flair for the unique. Mrs. Maria Micheva is the first Bulgarian stylist to have dedicated her activity to environment-friendly fashions. Her favourite fabrics are natural silk, linen and cotton. For two years now she has been using in her collections authentic cloths, manually woven on a loom. Apart from working for her numerous female customers, Maria Micheva has designed the costumes for two theater plays – “Three Tall Women” by Edward Albey and “Old-fashioned Jewels” by Rada Moskova. |
