The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Macedonia presented his Letters of Credence On September 1, 2005, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Macedonia H. E. Mr. Miho Mihov presented his Letters of Credence to Macedonian President Branko Crevenkovski. President Branko Crevenkovski stated Macedonia is staunchly determined to build up a democratic society, observing human and minority rights, and in compliance with the highest international standards in the region, actively contributing to the stability and development of South East Europe. H. E. Mr. Miho Mihov said the improvement of the microeconomic indices, lowering the level of unemployment and the modernization of the old, existing infrastructure is of interest to both states. The Bulgarian Embassy in Warsaw marked September 6 with The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices
On September 7, 2005, the Museum of the Collection of Pope John Paul II in Warsaw hosted a concert by the world-famous choir The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices. The concert, which spurred an enormous interest, was dedicated to Union Day – September and the 60th anniversary since the reinstatement of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Poland. The event was jointly organized by the Bulgarian Embassy and the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Warsaw. Its funds were provided by the National Culture Fund and the National Centre of Music and Dance with the Cultural Ministry within the sidelines of The Communication Strategy for the Accession of the Republic of Bulgaria to European Union. The famous choir was presented by the Director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Warsaw, Mrs. Boryana Puncheva. In her speech, she familiarized the guests with the historical events preceding the declaration of the unification of the Principality of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia 120 years ago. The guests were welcomed by the Bulgarian Ambassador to Warsaw Lachezar Petrov, who focused on the traditional cultural relations between the two nations and the Bulgaria-Poland co-operation in historical and modern perspective. Attending the event were ambassadors of a number of countries, representatives of the Polish administration, of the cultural and the media circles as well as of the Bulgarian community in the city. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Denmark presented his Letters of Credence On September 9, 2005, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Denmark, H. E. Mr. Ivan Dimitrov, presented his Letters of Credence to Queen Margarete II of Denmark. During the talks after the ceremony, Queen Margarete II showed interest in the situation in Bulgaria after the general elections, the formation of new government and the country\'s preparation for EU membership. She was pleased to recall her state visit to Bulgaria in October 2000 and share the impressions received from its landmarks. Queen Margarete II placed a special emphasis on the unique archaeological excavations she had the opportunity to visit. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Austria, Radi Naidenov, presented his Letters of Credence On September 13, 2005, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria to Austria, H. E. Mr. Radi Naidenov, presented his Letters of Credence to the Federal President of Austria, Dr. Heinz Fischer. Dr. Heinz Fischer wished Ambassador Naidenov success and pointed out the stable foundation of development of the Bulgarian-Austrian relations. He mentioned the anniversary, due this year, of the Austrian-Bulgarian Society headed by Dr. Karl Bleha and the initiatives dedicated to the Bulgarian-Austrian co-operation that were under preparation. The Ambassador of Bulgaria in Rabat, Katya Todorova, was received by the Delegated Minister of Foreign Affairs and Co-operation of the Kingdom of Morocco On September 13, 2005, the Ambassador of Bulgaria in Rabat, Katya Todorova, was received by Taib Fassy Fihri, Delegated Minister of Foreign Affairs and Co-operation of the Kingdom of Morocco. The two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, i.e. the prospects of accession of Bulgaria to the European Union and the association of Morocco to the Union, the appointment of an Honorary Consul of Bulgaria to be stationed in Casablanca and the development of trade and economic relations and tourism between the two countries. The Bulgarian Embassy in Ulan Bator received an Honorary Diploma On September 14, 2005, the President of the Rotary Club in Ulan Bator awarded the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Mongolia with an honorary diploma for its co-operation, support and contributions to the organization of “Mongolian Model United Nations 2005”. 100 Mongolian young people, participating in the session and the sittings formed teams, representing 20 countries – Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, etc. The Bulgarian team of 7 students had part of its preparation in the Embassy, where it was familiarized with the key priorities of Bulgaria\'s foreign policy, the social and economic development of the country and the results from the recent parliamentary elections.
