The President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce Marco Montecchi:
How did you come up with the idea to set an Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria?
The idea to set an Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (ICCB) was born of the great need to increase the trade between the two countries and primarily with the aim to help the business.
Why Bulgaria?
Because there has already been a network of 69 similar Italian Chambers of Commerce, Bulgaria is an exceptionally interesting country from a business point of view and cannot be absent from the world chess-board.
What are your plans for the future, personal and institution-wise?
My personal plans coincide with those concerning ICCB – to see Bulgaria on the level of the other countries, which are EU members. We all consider Bulgaria a part of Europe but there is a long way to be covered before the country reaches the required social and economic stage. |
