Albena Alexandrova, chief designer and owner of Roshavata Garga won two awards – in the section Fashion Shop Interior and for a stylist with the finest figure For the third time Nota Bene Agency and Sofia Municipality organized a ceremony for conferring the annual fashion awards of Sofia, which have already become a tradition and are part of Bulgaria’s publicity across the world. Questionnaires, containing famous foreign and Bulgarian trademarks present on the Sofia market, had reached 1,000 fashion journalists, politicians, businessmen, singers, actors and intellectuals. Depending on their vote, 5 winners were announced in each category for the awards Ulpia Serdika. The nominees competed in the field of men’s and women’s fashion trademark and a fashion shop interior. The winners were announced at an evening jazz party in the parlor of and the space around Sofia Art Gallery, where the good mood of the numerous guests was maintained by the special performances of Hilda Kazasyan and her colleagues Hristo Yotsov and Rumen Toskov, the divine performance of Diva dance group and, of course, the designs from the latest collections of some of the nominees. Max Mara was triumphant in the category Lady’s Fashion Trademark in rivalry with Rila Style, Benetton, Eskada and Nely Koleva. Agresia proved to be the unchallenged favorite on the men’s fashion market in the last few years and won a convincing victory over trademarks like Atanas Parushev, Zegna, Rollman and Tom Taylor. Albena Alexandrova won two awards – in the section Fashion Shop Interior her boutique “Roshavata Garga” was preferred by the voters to Diferente, Capasca, Emporio Armani and Motivi, but the attractive designer was also given another special prize for a stylist with the finest figure, which was conferred to her by the face of the national campaign for healthy slimming Reduktsia – the actress Anya Pencheva. Although they bear an ancient name, the Ulpia Serdika awards can well serve as a business card for Bulgaria anywhere in Europe, since they give credit to the trendiest, most contemporary and most sophisticated in fashion and design, and as we know beauty is the same everywhere in the world.
