The official ceremony on conferring the annual “Golden Needle 2004” fashion awards established by the Fashion Academy in 1993 in Paris, under the initiative of Mrs. Donka Ganeva, Chairperson, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lyubomir Stoykov, Fashion Academy Deputy Chair and Chair of the Jury of Journalists, was held on March 22, 2005, in Serdika Hall of Sheraton Hotel.

The latest collection of the famous designer Albena Alexandrova that she had prepared specially for the ceremony of awarding the annual Fashion Academy awards “Golden Needle” was as always loudly applauded by the audience. In Albena’s clothes invariably transpire elegant taste and fineness, sometimes mixed with a pinch of extravagance, which makes every woman interesting and different. The designer definitely knows how to mould a proper vision of a woman both for everyday life and for more special occasions.

Lengthy Applause for Nely Koleva

The concert hall of the Central Military Club in Sofia could hardly seat all the guests and admirers of one of the best Bulgarian designers – Nely Koleva. The Spring–Summer 2005 fashion show went off with the assistance of the Cultural Dialogue–21 Foundation, chaired by Mrs. Anna Sendova. Some 50 incredibly beautiful and fairy garments delighted the senses of scores of fashion connoisseurs, who constantly applauded the models and long after the show was over paid their special respects to the designer, six times a nominee and once a bearer of the most prestigious fashion award in Bulgaria
