The Bulgarian girls again competed in beauty

Ñíèìêà îò ñúáèòèåòî

On March 26, a glamorous ceremony organized by Visage fashion agency presented before selected guests and the millions of TV viewers in Bulgaria 44 gorgeous young girls who had come to the finals of the beauty contest Miss Bulgaria 2005. The contenders for the crown competed in three rounds – two in bathing suits and a final in specially made evening dress of Virginia fashion house. Once again the admirers of aestheticism were convinced that in Bulgaria beauty is not only born but also cultivated and maturing with great love and wisdom. Beautiful girls, who seem to have been touched by the magic wand of fate even before they were born, but what is more important is whether they would only dazzle the eyes or they would become goodwill ambassadors for a beautiful life, which everyone on earth deserves.

The “misses contests”, as they are jovially called, always evoke mixed emotions. Their organizers demonstrate before the world the humane mission of the contests. If we believe Dostoevsky that “Beauty will save the world”, we should also believe the meaningful aspirations of these girls, which they are ready to achieve if only someone would guide them in the right direction.

Beautiful, more beautiful, the most beautiful…
The most beautiful – Miss Bulgaria 2005, according to the jury was the 17-year-old Rositza Ivanova, who received the crown from her predecessor Gergana Guncheva. The young girl from Ruse is studying in 11th grade at First Private English Language High School in Sofia. Her second language is French. Fingers crossed for her were kept by the many colleagues of her mother in Mtel and all builders in her father’s firm, and the friends of her two years younger brother. Beauty is beauty, but it is perishable. Therefore the plans of the young girl for the more distant future are connected with law, which she intends to study in St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia. Rositza will represent our country at the Miss World contest in China at the end of this year.

For Miss Universe in Thailand this May will go Galina Gancheva, who is the new winner of the title Miss Bulgaria Universe. The beautiful girl from Varna is in 12th grade and she often exercises her charms on the customers of the grocery, which her father owns. Her intention is to continue her education in the field of finance.

Winner of the title Miss Bulgaria Europe 2005 is the 17-year-old Ralitsa Bratovanova from Gabrovo. She is studying in an English class at St. Naum private language school. Since her mother is director of Social Care in Gabrovo, she is aware of the hardships of the socially disadvantaged and handicapped people in Bulgaria. She is happy to be living in a united family with her younger brother. She dreams of finding fulfillment not only on the fashion platform but also as a lawyer.

“I place looks last”
No matter how incredibly this may sound, this is what the new Miss Bulgaria 2005 Rositza Ivanova told me when I asked her what she thinks beauty is and does she feel its great power. “Beauty is a combination of qualities and makings, a balance between emotional integrity, rich mentality, erudition and intellect,” she said without hesitation.
