The New Beaujolais is Here!

It is already a tradition in Bulgaria an old French tradition to be observed – the festive meeting of the new Beaujolais. It has already conquered the whole of France, Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and some countries in Asia, and on November 26 the young wine conquered the halls of the Military Club in Sofia.

Many ambassadors, ministers, MPs and businessmen came to taste the wine produced from a special grape sort, called game, that made famous the name of the region in Eastern France. This year’s event took place thanks to the effort of France-Bulgaria Business Club and under the aegis of the French Ambassador H.E. Mr. Yves Saint-Geours.

According to the French tradition at midnight on the third Thursday of November in all wine-cellars and restaurants a toast is proposed “The new Beaujolais is here!” and following the French law it is just after that that the sales and distribution of the wine all over the world start.
