Minister Kuneva and Atanas Semov inaugurated the first European Summer University in Bulgaria in St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia University

Are we really moving towards the creation of a political union, fifty years after the unsuccessful attempt of August 30, 1954, for establishing a European Political Community (EPC) and a European Defence Community (EDC)? This question was in the focus of debates at the European Summer University, organized for the first time in Bulgaria and held on August 26 - September 2, 2004, in Sofia and Silistra. Entitled “Europe after the enlargement and the new Constitution”, the event was organized by the Institute of European Law and the Union of Bulgarian Students under the patronage of the Deputy Chair of the Bulgarian National Assembly Assoc. Prof. Kamelia Kassabova and with the support of St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia University, the University of National and World Economy and the French Cultural Institute, Sofia. They were partnered by the European Institute of Higher International Studies and the International Centre for European Education, Nice.
