ЕленаAt the foothills of the wooded Elenski Balkan you will encounter a unique town – simultaneously modern and preserving its Revival Period atmosphere.

The town of Elena is located 280 km away from the capital city of Sofia, 230 km from Varna and about 40 km south of the regional centre Veliko Tarnovo. Its inhabitants number around 6000, but what is interesting is that the town is the centre of a municipality, which according to the Unified Classification of the country, comprises 123 villages. These are scattered across the little territory of 696 sq. km, at 293 m above sea level. At the foot of Stara Planina (the Balkan Range), enveloped in rich historical past, with preserved cultural-historical heritage, with diverse tourist routes and resources for recreation and holidaymaking.
