Let it not seem strange that I begin with the last three lines, written under the title Epilogue: “Verses, you say./Entertainment, I say./Indeed, they say.” I agree… to a certain extent. Although the author modestly says he lays no claim to “high” poetry, his poems are truly an entertaining exercise for the mind and imagination. It is about that game of identifying and recognising your own thoughts, viewpoint, supposition or even a barely crystallized suspicion in the words he has arranged in such a marvellous way. Because each one of us sees things differently but ultimately their essence remains the same and will always find at least twenty-two poets who think this is a fact worth celebrating.
