In an environment of radical transformations worldwide in the early 21st c., Bulgaria was given a historic chance to take the shortest road to solving its most difficult problem in its development: to catch up with its long-lasting lagging behind the modern European countries. Joining the EU, the country becomes an integral part of a special model of social development, which proved successful in coping with the congestion of discrepancies between the Member States, securing them enviable prosperity. The membership in that qualitatively new subject of international relations radically displaces the country within the restructuring world system. This results in major changes in the whole set of political, economic and cultural relations with all the countries and international organizations.
