On the occasion of the opening of the FIFA World Cup 2006, Ambassador Elmar Timpe, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and the President of the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Wilhelm Kraus, organized a reception in the embassy.

The numerous guests enjoyed the special effects and accents in the programme, accompanying the event – the huge TV screens in the halls, on which they watched the World Cup opening, the original advertising materials on Bavaria, the beautiful “football” girls and last but not least, the famous German beer – all became part of the opening of the championship and its first football match.
